Eccecrucem Domini
|
Dear reader, Let us
recall when Jesus entered the synagogue as the apostle Mark describes it: he
entered the synagogue, and a man was there who had a withered hand. And the
Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that
they might accuse him. And he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Come
here.” And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do
harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. And he looked around at
them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “stretch
out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. The Pharisees
went out, and immediately held counsel with the Hero’di-ans against him, how
to destroy him. Mk 3:1-6 Today we
need to bear this in mind when our hardness of heart makes us selfish and
convictive. First of all we need to take care of our neighbor, be it known or
unknown, even those who harries us shall we help when they are in need. Secondly
how easy it is to condemn those we dislike… to condemn a robber or thief is
easy – but still wrong as he get his sentence and more over we do not know the
reason for this persons misery, likewise we shall not condemn this sinners
family, even if we by right dislike the sinner. As the Lord commanded Moses, ‘every
man shall die for his own sin’ 2 kings 14:6. If we
say we are Christians and do not forgive and help then we will be like King
Solomon wrote: ‘Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of a
gift he does not give.’ Prov 26:14
In the same way we may not condemn those who do evil acts in the darkness of
secrecy but instead we must with compassion forgive their withered souls. And
always keep in mind that Christianity is a belief in Love, which is doing only
what, is good. To save
lives on the coming Judgment day is indeed a good deed… and it is the soul
purpose of Christi Sacred Way. God
bless you
